Job description
PHE Mining has an opportunity for a highly motivated HSE Advisor to join the team on a project in South Australia. Reporting to the HSE Lead, this role drives a culture of safety and quality on site and maintains compliance with management systems across a surface / underground environment. PHE Group is an electrical and instrumentation contractor with five specialist divisions and more than 50 years' experience, recognised at both State and National levels including Industrial X-Large Project of the Year at the 2025 NECA National Excellence Awards.
Requirements:
Diploma OHS or minimum Cert IV WHS and TAE. White / Blue Construction Card. Current unrestricted manual driver's licence. Internal Auditing training (preferred). D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain. Return to Work Coordination qualification. Experience as an HSE Advisor on industrial electrical construction projects. Strong working knowledge of WHS and Environmental legislation. Highly organised with sound MS Word and Excel skills.
Work conditions:
2:1 FIFO roster on a South Australian underground mining project. Roster split between day shift and night shift. Flights, accommodation and meals all provided. Responsibilities:
Provide leadership that encourages WHS&E throughout site and implement best-practice management systems. Conduct training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs. Prepare reports, record data and collect compliance evidence. Actively manage workers' compensation matters including rehabilitation, case management and return-to-work programs. Identify HSE non-conformances, investigate and develop solutions. Conduct random D&A testing on site.
