Job description
Cactus Wellhead Australia is seeking a Field Technician for the field installation and service of wellhead, Xmas trees and associated wellhead equipment. Working a two-week on / two-week off rotation and reporting to the Service Manager, this role offers variety, travel and the opportunity to build a career in the oil and gas sector. Oil and gas experience is desirable but not essential — a strong mechanical aptitude is key.
Requirements:
High degree of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and time management. Unrestricted Australian working rights. Manual driver's licence. Willingness to work in remote locations and across all weather conditions. Mechanical trade qualifications and oil & gas experience advantageous. Pre-employment medical, police check and driver history check required.
Work conditions:
Indicative package $90,000 – $120,000 per year. Two-week on / two-week off rotation. Package includes base salary, field day bonus and superannuation, varying with qualifications and experience. Reports to the Service Manager. Travel across Brisbane, Perth, South Australia and Roma.
Responsibilities:
Install and service wellhead equipment across multiple locations. Travel to Brisbane, Perth, South Australia and Roma as required. Assist with product assembly and testing at the Brendale workshop when workload requires. Maintain high standards of safety, attention to detail and time management on every job.
